The focus of the project for us was the structure of the site: how can a wealth of information be communicated in the most appealing way? It was also important to present the content in a lighter but no less serious way. The result: a minimalist, structured look with interactive elements that also offer added value on mobile devices.

During its research work on the study, polisphere developed a model for classifying the motivations and perpetrator profiles. These profiles, in turn, were assigned to past attacks. It was our responsibility to visualize these connections in the best possible way.
Since going live, the website has offered journalists and other researchers a fact-based platform for a better understanding of online radicalization spaces.

Our second collaboration with polisphere also dealt with the topic of Anti-Semitism – this time in the context of the Ukraine War.

To this end, the team compiled Anti-Semitic statements relating to the war in Ukraine on social media in German-speaking countries. This was made possible by a tracker that revealed and documented such statements. These statements were then analyzed using a dashboard we created.

For this purpose, we not only developed the frontend, but also a backend with an independent content management system into which the Anti-Semitic statements were entered partly automatically and partly manually.
